The Lukenya Girls’ School was acquired in 2008. It is a full boarding school with a population of 250 students who are from all corners of Kenya and the larger East African region.
Lukenya Girls offers the 8-4-4 system of education, which is tailor-made to fit the education needs of our students. The small size classrooms ensure there is focused individual attention to enhance and bring out the potential of each student; to encourage and monitor the personal growth of each student, both mentally and physically.
We have posted good exam results over the years, staying true to the Lukenya tradition of academic excellence. We offer a wide variety of subjects ranging from the Technical, Sciences, Languages, and IT among other regular subjects under 8-4-4 education system. We also have pastoral education which is meant to bring up an upright young ladies who will be a positive impact in the society.
Class teachers are responsible for the academic and general conduct and discipline of the students during school hours. After school hours, the dorm teachers are in charge of the students. High standards of decorum and courtesy are expected, and maintained, in an atmosphere of mutual respect the staff and the students, and between the students themselves.

The subjects we offer are:

In Form 1 they choose a minimum of 13 subjects, then later in Form 2 they can drop a few to remain with a minimum of 8 which they will study for the national exam at the end of the course.
The Lukenya Girls High School is a full boarding school. We offer an education which nurtures and enriches the physical, intellectual, emotional and spiritual development of our girls. Our happy, united atmosphere provides the ideal environment for every girl to discover her own unique combination of strengths and talents and to ‘be the best she can’. Girls’ School prepares our students for a world of opportunities in the 21st Century. There are strong academic standards across the school and students are encouraged to have high expectations. The school aims to provide a caring and enlightened environment in which the talents of each individual flourish. The Lukenya Girls’ School is big on extra-curricular activities. We believe in holistic education, and therefore have invested in infrastructure for the following activities for the students to engage in during evenings and weekends. We have both sporting and non-sporting activities.

We have a strong guidance and counseling department that takes care of emotional and spiritual needs of the student.
There are also a range of educational and sporting trips to local, regional and international events in order to broaden their time at the Lukenya Girls’ School a fulfilling experience.
